Make your own free website on Tripod.com

I'm ira.day. You might remember me {i still vaguely do!} from such publications as Nova and remorsecodeblues {which have been kaput for years, as you can read here}. I revisited my website today and discovered that I hadn't updated in nearly five years, so i'm surprised Tripod hadn't already dismantled it. That's what I get for continuing to check my Lycos e-mail account.

A couple of things conspired to make me decide to take down the dozen or so pages that used to be my website. What harm was it doing? First, a recent study by Forbes magazine found that the American workforce had lost .0000000015% of its efficiency to rabid fans continuing to check the site for updates. God forbid that i should hold back our economy; it is thus my duty to tell you this page is likely the last online incarnation of me you'll ever see.

Second, when i was still maintaining the site, i was deleting all the META tags and running a totally bare-bones, plain-text, black-and-white, ad-free site. Now every page has banner ads. I cannot condone their crackdown on my delinquency.

Third, my index page was pirated by theamericanregister.com -- not once, but twice. They may have thought they were doing me a favor by bringing me added publicity, but i have no idea what their site is, who is responsible for maintaining it, or how my material got there, reproduced {twice} without anything like permission or context. As such, i'm now allowing my site to remain up solely as a means of complaining about them and urging the world to send them angry messages and bad vibes. Just to spite them, i've also left some anger here, where the link from the page they copied points. Cheers! i.d
